Dear Art Instructor,

After 20 years of dreaming about opening our summer art camp in Ontario, it will finally be a reality in 2005. We want to give back to the community that inspired and gave us so much.

In appreciation and for posterity, two deserving young (female) emerging artists will be given scholarships. Georgia Amar has been working in art and art related genre for 30 years. She purchased the campsite property with money earned as a student furthering cultural diversification in Canada. In the same year, Georgia designed and built an A-frame cabin out of the surrounding trees and embarked her career as a working contemporary artist. Among Georgia's notable accomplishments is the development of a special glass fusing technique characteristic of her beautiful glass works seen in many public places in Canada and the USA. Georgia has taught as a certified teacher in Toronto.

The Habitat Gallery and Studio that she currently owns and operates in Denver, Colorado's ArtDistrict on Santa Fe is another dream achieved. With her art shows and classes well on the way in Denver, it is now time to realize the original intent for the land in Ontario.

We invite you to participate in our happy occasion by submitting talented young artists for two (2) week scholarships. The Camp's unique curriculum will offer many professional techniques and mediums. Classes will be taught by working artists of various genres from Canada and the USA. Class sizes will be small for individualized attention. All professional supplies, tools, and equipment will be supplied. A forest, fresh air, clean water, and opportunities to view wildlife are all comprised in Art Camp Amar's enchanting secluded environment.

What we need from your students:

1. Photo or computer printout (basically anything we can see, no originals) of applicant's masterpiece.
2. A paragraph about what art means to you or how it makes you feel.
3. SASE (self addressed stamped envelope)
4. Make sure to include name, address, and phone number on the application.
